FAERIE
Faeries are insectoid fae creatures known for magic and trickery.

✧ MANDATORY ✧
✦ Feeding: Energy [direct drain] and blood.
✦ Insectoid flight-capable wings.
✦ Antennae. These can sense air currents and are required for balance in flight.
✦ Pointed ears.
✦ Claw-like fingernails.
✦ The ability to shrink in size to as small as an inch tall. Faeries are more vulnerable the smaller they are but are very agile and quick.
✦ Faerie rings. Each faerie can have up to three rings active at once and can teleport themselves and others between locations. They can only be used by the faerie who made them or with them present. They can also be used for their energy drain feeding by luring humans into them as traps.
✦ Lying aversion. While faeries can be evasive or twist the truth, they cannot directly lie. Whether this manifests as a physical incapability or an immediate allergic reaction to telling a lie is up to the player.
✦ Weakness to iron. Snares, traps, weapons etc. made of iron burn faeries and suppress any of their magic from working.
✧ OPTIONAL ✧
✦ Travel form. Faeries can take a mundane insect form to move faster at the cost of being more vulnerable.
✦ Faceted or lensed insect eyes.
✦ An extra set of arms. These may be humanoid or insectoid.
✦ Chitin or carapace-like skin.
✦ Any number of insectoid features such as a proboscis.
✦ An extra mouth somewhere on the faerie's body. This mouth may tell lies.
✦ Faerie dust. This can be used to temporarily blind foes, inflict harmless visual hallucinations on foes, or temporarily turn them into bugs.
✦ True name manipulation. If given a character's true name, a faerie can compel them to act according to their will. This cuts both ways, however - a faerie may be compelled in the service of those who know their true name as well. What counts as a "true name" is up to the player; it may require a full name and title, or be a preferred alias that the character only shares with a trusted few, etc.
