MANTICORE

Manticores are catlike chimeras with wings and a barbed venomous tail.
[example species: cats, fossas, lions, tigers, cheetahs, leopards, jaguars, servals, caracals, ocelots, lynxes, smilodon, etc.]

✦ Feeding: Flesh.
✦ Sharp fangs and claws. Can be retractable.
✦ Catlike ears.
✦ Flight-capable wings.
✦ Fur on the arms, shoulders and back.
✦ A barbed venomous tail. Can be singular, forked or three-pronged. The barb can be at the end of a normal feline tail or be entirely insectoid.
✦ Paralytic, hallucinogenic, or necrotic venom.
✦ Resistance to toxins.
✦ Sharper senses. Manticore eyesight, hearing and sense of smell are all excellent.
✦ Heat resistance.
✦ Cold weakness.
✦ Cannot be killed by falls even if their wings are disabled.

✦ Travel form. Manticores can take a normal feline form to travel faster at the cost of being more vulnerable.
✦ Any number of animal traits such as fur anywhere on the body, digitigrade legs and/or paws, whiskers, a mane, etc.
✦ Longer arms to run on all fours.
✦ Sphinx form. A quadruped form with a human face, increasing their size and speed significantly.
✦ Up to two additional rows of teeth.
✦ Spines or quills on the back. Can be venomous like their tail stinger.
✦ Deceitful nature. Manticores enjoy spreading rumors, telling riddles, and learning secrets.
